Using a Keyboard

Certain keys on the keyboard have special meaning in EasyEst Estimating. Pressing the Key Guide key SHIFT+F2 will display the list of keys on the screen. For some actions you will use key combinations, holding the Ctrl, ALT, or the SHIFT key down while pressing a letter key.

The Home key work as follows: If you are in the middle of a word, Home will take you backwards to the beginning of the field. If you press Ctrl+Home, you will go to the first record in the List. Use the End key to do just the opposite.

Editing in a column has the following characteristics:

If the cursor is on the first letter and you press a key, the rest of the field will be cleared. If you do not want this to happen then press the Edit key F2 to edit that field. Press the Restore key F4 to restore (undo) if you made a mistake.

Pressing Ins (insert) will toggle the over-strike and insert mode.
