Create Bid Based on Bid Code

Whenever you create a new Bid, you may choose to start by copying an existing Bid.

When you start a Bid from an existing Bid, everything will be copied: Bid Items, Markups, Cost Types, Questions, etc. You may then make any changes you like, including deleting some or all Bid Items, modifying Question Values, etc.

If you enter 0 here, the Bid will be started from scratch, with no Bid Items. Cost Types, Question Values, and Markup Percents will be set to 0.

Template Bids

We suggest that you create one or more Template Bids from which to start your Bids. It should contain your standard Markup Percentages, and Cost Type percentages.

In addition, you may include "must bid" Items in your Bid Items to make sure that they are included in the Bid. These Bid Items can either have standard quantities and/or amounts filled in, or can be left with zero quantities just to remind you that they need to be taken off. Of course, these Bid Items can be deleted from the Bid if they are not needed in a given instance.
