Lesson 5: Adding Items to the Price Book

 

 

 

Suppose you want to save a Bid Item which you have created for use in other Bids? Let's try it…

 

Click on Add New under the Description column, and type - Test item from bid to Price Book.

 

Now click on the Quantity, Bid Unit, and Mat. Unit Raw Cost columns and type 15, SF, and 1.13 respectively, then press Enter.

 

Select Update Items to/from Price Book from the Bid menu.

 

From the Update Items dialog box, select Update Price Book Items from Bid, Highlighted Bid Item only, and Whole Items: Descriptions, budget, etc. by clicking on the circle just to the left of each option.

 

Click on the OK button.

 

Since this is only a test item latter you can delete the item, BUT if it were a usable item you would want to assign an item code the item so the item would be located in the correct area of your Price Book (you will learn how to do this latter).
