This is a fast way to go to a specific record when you have many records, if you know what Code the record it has. For instance, if you want to go to Item 2.145 in your Bid,
you can just type that Code number, and EasyEst Estimating will move to that record.
In most lists, there is only one use of any Code allowed. For the Bid Item List, you may have more than one use of a given Price Book Item. In that case, Go To Code will go to the first use of the Code in the list.
If you do not know the Code for the record you are looking for, you might try to the Find feature in the listing's Description column, instead.
How to Use the Go To Code feature:
1. Go to the window where the type of data you want is displayed. For instance, if you are looking for Budget 25A, go to the Budget List.
2. Select Go To Code… from the Edit menu, or press the Ctrl+G key, to bring up the Go To Code dialog box.
3. Type the Code you want to locate in the field in the dialog box and press the OK button.
The dialog box will disappear, and the highlight will be on the record you requested in the list window. If the record cannot be found, an error will be displayed.
