Divisions The largest cost centers or groupings of Items in your Price Book. Each one contains 10 Subdivisions, which consists of Items. Divisions help you organize and index your Items.
Subdivisions The second level of Item organization and indexing. Can be used as cost centers or help in finding items. Each Subdivision is part of a Division and is made up of Items.
Items The heart of the Estimating System, representing anything you must pay for to complete a job. The system automatically calculates Extended Prices from Raw Costs. Items are in Subdivisions only and Subdivisions are in the Divisions. The whole Item Code is a number like, 10.901 where 10 is the division, 9 is the subdivision and 01 is the item. You may add up 7 more numbers to the end but we suggest you keep this as small as possible for entering numbers and saving space on reports.
