The Export to Scheduling dialog box sends the current Bid’s scheduling information to a file which can be imported by various scheduling, spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.
To get to the Export to Scheduling dialog box, choose File/Transfer/Export to Scheduling... from the menu bar.
You may enter the directory and file name to be used for the export file in the fields, or push the label/buttons to the left of those fields to choose from lists.
Choose the export format that fits your needs:
Milestones Simplicity/SE
Works with Kidasa Software’s Milestones Simplicity Special Edition for The Software Center. Make sure your Simplicity box is marked "Special Edition" or it will not have the estimating import on the file menu.
Milestones, Etc. (Exp10 format)
Any recent version of Milestones, Etc. can read the "Expanded 10-column" format files generated.
Comma-Delimited ASCII (Text)
Most software packages can read comma-delimited ASCII text files. This simple format takes over the basic scheduling information: Start Date, Duration, Finish Date, Critical, Sch. Code, and Description for Schedule. Character and date fields are surrounded by double quotes. Date formats and list separator characters used are based on the current international format set in the Windows International Control Panel.
Tab-Delimited ASCII (Text)
Another very common format. Same as the Comma-Delimited Text, except tab characters are used instead. Fields do not need to be quoted in this format, so it is often easier to use with word processors.
If you do not specify an extension (like ".CSV" at the end of the filename), EasyEst Estimating will add an appropriate one for you. If you wish to have no extension, just type a period (.) with nothing after it at the end of your file name.

When you are ready to generate the file, press the Export button. If you wish to leave the dialog without generating an export file, press the Cancel button.
Hot tip: Scheduled Activities (Budgets) will be exported in the order they appear on the Budgets List. You will usually want to export them in Start Date order. (Often, they will already be in Start Date order as you are working with the Activities.) You can sort by Start Dates easily from the Sort menu. You can also export in any other order you like by re-arranging the Activities in the order you want them. Only those Budgets with a Start Date are exported.
