Customize Report Button

 

 

 

When you have the Custom Report Designer feature, you will see a Customize Report... button in each of your three Reports dialog boxes (Bid Reports, Price Book Reports, and Quick Print). This button allows you to change how any of the Reports in the system looks, as well as create your own unique Custom Reports.

 

To customize a Report, first select the Report you wish to start with. You may choose from either the Standard Reports or from any User-Customized Reports you have previously created. Just click on the Report you wish to change, and press the Customize Report... button.

 

If you selected a Custom Report, you will be asked if you want to edit it, or edit a copy of it. If you selected a Standard Report, the Report Designer will always make a copy of the Report, and put the copy in the Custom Reports List. Next, you will be given an opportunity to change the Description of the Report, as it will appear in the Reports List. After you click OK in that dialog box, the Report Designer window will appear. All other estimating windows will be hidden. Here you can make whatever changes you want to the Report. See Report Designer for more information.
