An Super Assembly is a grouping of related Assemblies which can be used to select Items to be used in the Bid. Super Assemblies contain many related Assemblies the way that Assemblies contain many related Items. So if the Assembly is, for instance, a door, with Items for the door itself, the door frame, the door knob, hinges, etc., then the Super Assembly could be an entire room, including Assemblies for doors, windows, walls, flooring, etc.

Super Assemblies speed up the bidding process even further than Assemblies by allowing you to build whole groups of related Assemblies for easy selection. An Super Assembly can also serve as a checklist of Assemblies, to help prevent omissions, just as Assemblies can serve as a checklist of Items..

Costing: If you have just started a new Bid, there will not be any totals. If you have used some Super Assemblies, the total dollars for all the Bid Items which were in each Super Assembly will be displayed. You may want to change the total dollar amount of the Bid Items from an Super Assembly and all the Items in the Bid which relate to that Super Assembly will be adjusted by their relative percentage.

Cross Reference. Using the Cross Reference feature, highlight any Super Assembly with a dollar amount and you will get a list of all Items in your Bid that are included in that total by selecting Cross Reference from the Tools menu.
