The File Menu will allow you to:
New Bid Choose this to start a new bid.
Open Bid Choose if you want to continue work on an existing bid.
Merge Bid/Work Package...
Adds all the Bid Items from an existing to Bid to the current Bid, optionally multiplying all quantities by a factor. (Optional feature.)
Bid List This is a list of your Bids. You may rename, copy, delete or choose a Bid from this list.
Bid Information Form The Bid Information Forms is a Level 3 feature which allows you to enter more information about each Bid, such as its Address, Supervisors Name, Bid Due Date, etc.
Price Book List This will take you to the list of your Price Books. Price Books may be renamed, copied, deleted or selected in the Price Book List.
Save Bid Save current Bid to disk.
Save Bid As... Choose this if you want to make a copy of the Bid with a different Code and/or Description.
Printer Setup Change the printer, page size, or other settings.
Print Print the current window with a variety of Reports.
Transfer Interface to other programs and backup utilities.
Exit Exit the EasyEst Estimating program. If you made changes you have not saved in the current Bid, you will be asked if you want to save your changes before exiting. If the Price Book needs House-Cleaning, you may be asked if you want to do House-Cleaning now. You may also be asked if you want to back up your Price Book and/or Bids.
(Numbered Bids) For or your convenience, you can load one of your recently-used Bids from the list at the end of the file menu. Each Bid is given a shortcut digit, with 1 being the current Bid, 2 being the previous Bid, etc. You may set how many Bids (0 for none, or 1 to 9) are shown in this list in the Options/Preferences dialog box. Bids from a different Price Book are shown with the Price Book Code in square brackets, e.g., [Const].
